Daniela Papac

Title

Daniela first joined WEAC in 2013 as a high school cross country and distance track athlete, and later transitioned to coaching. Born in Windsor, she earned three degrees from the University of Windsor (Bachelor of Arts 2020, Bachelor of Education 2022, Master of Education 2023).
Daniela is a secondary school teacher at Assumption College Catholic High School. Daniela began her track and field coaching career at Assumption, specializing in cross country and middle distance, but coaching and mentoring athletes across all event groups. At this level, Daniela has coached athletes to several WECSSAA, SWOSSAA, OFSAA Regionals and OFSAA medals, including OFSAA golds in para cross country and track.
Daniela coached and acted as team manager at the 2024 Ontario Summer Games, where her team won the overall championships.
Most recently with WEAC, Daniela brought two athletes to the inaugural ACXC para cross country championships, where WEAC athletes brought home the gold and silver medals (with one athlete having recently represented Canada at the 2025 Para Track and Field World Championships).
Outside of track, Daniela is the captain of Croatia Senior Women’s soccer team and a rec co-ed soccer team, a member of a Croatian folklore dance group, and the director of the choir and musical theatre programs at Assumption.
